Police said that a 51-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday and charged with burglary, robbery, elder abuse, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after assaulting and robbing an elderly woman.

A two-week investigation by authorities has resulted in the arrest of a Keystone Heights woman on charges of elder abuse. According to the police report, the suspect was "acting erratically" and grabbed her 77-year-old mother "by the throat and shook her." The same witness told police that she also struck her 77-year-old stepfather in the right arm and shoved her three-year-old sister to the floor in a scuffle on April 21.

Chatham County’s elder abuse prosecutor today called for a total community response to assist in the effort to end crimes against those 65 years and older. She urged people to be on the lookout for signs of abuse and to report problems, pledging the response from police and prosecutors.

Genesee County will host a statewide summit exploring elder abuse -- a problem that officials say is only expected to get worse. Catherine A. There is no record of a phone call from a Chicago man alerting Scranton police to the abuse of an elderly Dickson City woman, acting Police Chief Carl Graziano said Wednesday. After viewing the webcam footage from a Chicago man, Scranton police charged a 55-year-old woman with beating and verbally abusing her mother, a 96-year-old woman suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

He has been involved in designing qualitative research projects and conducting focus groups and semi-structured interviews, and has helped develop and advertising campaign on elder abuse prevention. A Baltimore caregiver has been charged with abuse of a vulnerable adult after assault allegations occurred in a Timonium group home.  A co-worker reported that he witnessed the suspect pushing the victim and later smacking him with a kitchen spatula. The case is scheduled for trial on July 17.

Lawrence Police are requesting the public’s help locating an 85-year-old man with dementia. Clayborne Lewis was last seen near Franklin Road and 51st Street around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Lewis is described as being 5-foot-11-inches tall and 180 lbs.
