A two-week investigation by authorities has resulted in the arrest of a
Keystone Heights woman on charges of elder abuse. According to the police
report, the suspect was "acting erratically" and grabbed her
77-year-old mother "by the throat and shook her." The same witness
told police that she also struck her 77-year-old stepfather in the right arm
and shoved her three-year-old sister to the floor in a scuffle on April 21.

her mother, a 96-year-old woman suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

assault allegations occurred in a Timonium group home. A co-worker
reported that he witnessed the suspect pushing the victim and later smacking
him with a kitchen spatula. The case is scheduled for trial on July 17.
